Finding hair care products that work for fine hair is extremely difficult. Products need to be lightweight, breathable, yet still maintain holds for styling. After several years of struggling with my fine hair, I’ve finally found some products that keep my hair looking, smelling, and feeling great.

Shampoo and Conditioners

My favorite shampoo is the Rodan + Fields Volume+ shampoo. This shampoo was a gift, I typically wouldn’t gravitate towards a product like this. However, I like this shampoo because it is a nice light-weight and color-protecting shampoo. It makes a noticeable difference as far as volume. I have the conditioner for this hair care line and I would recommend it as well.

Another great shampoo is the Ouai detox shampoo. I use this shampoo once a week to cleanse my scalp. Cleansing shampoo is useful for preventing build-up if you use a lot of products such as dry shampoo or hairspray.

Treatments and Styling

I absolutely love the Pureology Color Fanatic Top Coat + Tone Gloss. I have used this product in clear and the one intended for blondes. This product packs a powerful punch, so I use it only once a week. Every time that I use this product a coworker asks me if I dyed my hair. It really helps to brighten my blonde and it also makes your hair look extremely glossy.

My last favorite product of 2024 is the Not Your Mother’s dry shampoo. This dry shampoo is amazing for volume and styling. I use dry shampoo even when my hair has just been washed. The added texture of this dry shampoo makes styling your hair much easier. Additionally, it keeps your hair fresh for at least a full day and it smells amazing. My favorite scent is toasted coconut.

My hair is currently the healthiest it’s ever been. I have even been able to train my hair on a good wash schedule, previously I washed it every other day. I believe that my hair is stronger and even growing faster, despite the fact that I have started to bleach it. I believe that these products are partially to thank for my better hair days.
